It used to be a Christmas tradition to go make Krumkake and Spritz cookies with my grandma. I tried to continue the tradition this year and even got my husband to be my "roller!" It might have been the, "It's this or looking at Christmas lights" threat, but whatever works!! I would have posted an actual picture of something freshly baked, but like I said, it was the first time by myself, and they aren't very pretty! Tasty, but not pretty! 52 on Friday: Sleepy {Mandan ND Newborn Photographer}
There is this quiet pause during a newborn shoot when you think the cuddling, milk, and white noise maker have all done their trick. You hate to step away, but when you do, you can capture the pure innocence of a sleepy newborn. Next check out: Erin Dahl Photography
Who's a Nervous Wreck?
This girl! This was my first extended family shoot! I didn't really sleep the night before, but it went so much better than planned!!

52 on Fridays: Texture
This week the theme was texture. We had fun adding in some simple texture to make this birthday shoot a little more sassy! Finish the circle and check out Jenny @ www.sunflower-photography.com

52 on Friday: Innocence
This week's theme was innocence. As a teacher I see children lose their innocence faster and faster with today's technology, tv shows, and music. It makes me sad to see kids that don't want to play and have no imaginations. Kids that you give a tub full of blocks and they look at you like you're crazy. It makes my heart smile to spend time with my niece who still thinks she is a full out princess (or butterfly, depending on the day!) Next, check out liza hall http://www.lizahallphotography.com and see how she interpreted the theme.

52 on Friday: Small
Newborns might be cliche for the theme small, but I couldn't help it. I just love tiny toes...Next check out Amy Ames at http://www.amyamesphotography.com

52 on Fridays: Fresh
Well, with school starting next week I instantly thought fresh crayons :) I think there is almost nothing better than opening a fresh box of crayons. It just smells like a fresh start! On my way to take pictures at school I saw that the fresh corn stand I always go to was open. My crayon picture taking adventure quickly turned into a freezing fresh corn adventure. Always delish! Next, check out Faye Kingston, Miramichi, NB Photographer, http://fkphotography.ca and see how she interpreted fresh!

52 on Fridays: Symmetry
I was totally stuck between two pictures this week and they are both very different. Immediately when I heard symmetry I thought of flowers. Unfortunately, it's been hotter than a pistol here and the only flowers I haven't killed are my violets. Then, on my way inside our door caught my eye. It's pretty much the fanciest thing in this fixer-upper of ours :) Next, check out the talented Robin Moore.

52 on Friday: Patterns
One from the honeymoon in the Keys...this is a long stretch to fit into today's theme but I was having trouble importing off my good camera. Here is one from my point and shoot on the honeymoon. We had a little pattern going. Every night at 8:15 we'd sit and watch the sunset, and every night it looked this amazing! This is with no editing whatsoever. Isn't it breathtaking?!?
