This weeks theme was "Words." Since I teach 5th grade I deal with a lot of words every day :) Funny story from this week: We are learning about the Revolutionary War in Social Studies, our reading stories in our reading basal happen to take place during the Revolutionary War, and low and behold we flip open to Science and our new chapter is all about the revolution of the Earth around the sun! One student voiced exactly what I was thinking in my head, "Ms. Bjornson, if I have to learn one more meaning for the word revolution, I might scream!" As confusing as all those words are, I'm happy to pass on the love of reading to my students! This "Love of Reading" session quickly turned into a Valentine's Day session :) Next, check out Amy Schilling, Austin, TX Photographer, http://sweetandhappysessions.blogspot.com |
